FRIDAY, 5th MAY, 2023, evening
TGIF! Hopefully, something at the pub. Details later. SATURDAY, 6th May 2023
Nothing planned as we expect that everyone will be watching TV. The Coronation TV coverage is
anticipated to start at around 11.15, still not confirmed.
SUNDAY, 7th May 2023
11am-12.30 pm: The ‘Coronation’ Treasure Hunt starts at the VH. Find the clues
hidden around the village. Win a prize! Collect your game card from the VH.
12.30pm: Free ‘Coronation Big Lunch’: BBQ with the first
drink free (or two soft drinks) for residents. Reasonable charges for guests. Coronation Pudding Competition: Make something fit for a King and Queen! A cake/trifle etc.
and eat it for pudding! Win a bottle of Champagne! For details call: Liz Ashwell 01903 703534. During/after Lunch: Bell Ringing at St. James the Great. Come ‘chime’ a bell! All welcome.
Village Hall Garden: Fun will include Table Tennis, Bouncy Castle, Aunt Sally and more for the family!
MONDAY, 8th May 2023
11.30 am: Action starts at the Football Field. ‘The Big Help out/ Volunteering theme.’
Parish Council gazebo: The King has asked that we have a ‘Volunteering’ theme. That is not hard as so many things are done in our Parish by volunteers. There will be a display of that work and an opportunity to offer
your help. The King commands it!
11.30am Classic Routemaster double decker bus departs Lindsay Farm, High Cogges. Many thanks to Roger Walker and the Bus Business. Stop the bus anywhere! No tickets required! Some refreshments on board or bring your own.
Bus Route: South Leigh Road to the Bus Shelter. Turns at Just Cartridges
and waits at the Bus Shelter. Thereafter, trips around the village every half hour or more often, all day. Action in the Arena will include: Tug o’War, Slowest Bike Race, Funny Dog Show. Practice cricket. More to come.

HAZY SOUL BAND. 4-piece Soul/Rock band
Entertainment:
Approx 12 Noon and 2pm: Rock the afternoon away with the Hazy Soul Band! Two 45-minute sets.
Another Free Lunch, Yeh!
12.30pm – 2pm: Free Fish & Chips and a pint of beer or glass of wine for free (or two soft drinks) for residents (maybe more!). Drinks from Shire Promotions’ mobile bar like at the Jubilee party. Residents’ guests Fish ‘n Chips £10 for adults and £5 for children. Fish ‘n Chips or Nuggets.
The Codfather’s traditional British Fish & Chip van from Eynsham will start
serving lunch at 12.30 pm – 2pm. Special portions for children – fish or nuggets. Vegi option.
12 noon-3pm: Face Painting for free, too! Parking: Parking at the Football Field like for the
Queen’s Jubilee. Please park as directed.
